Account Information: Parent email addresses and hashed passwords used for authentication.
Location & Telemetry Data: Periodic GPS coordinates (latitude, longitude) and device battery levels sent from linked teen devices.
Event Indicators: User-initiated safety triggers, such as "I am home" check-ins or emergency SOS alerts.
In-App Messages: Direct communication between parents and teens exchanged within the app.
2. How We Use Information
To display live location data and historical routes on the parent dashboard.
To run automated AI pattern analysis that identifies unusual routine departures and sends email notifications to parents.
To deliver urgent emergency SOS alerts and status updates.
To facilitate payment processing and subscription management via Stripe.
3. Teen Consent and Control
Teenect prioritizes transparency and consensual usage. Teen devices require an explicit link setup using a family code. Teens can view location-sharing status and withdraw consent or toggle location sharing directly from their app at any time.
4. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or location data. We share necessary data only with trusted service infrastructure partners for core operational needs:
Supabase: Encrypted data storage and database operations.
Google Gemini AI: Processing telemetry logs to detect routine anomalies without retaining personal identities.
Stripe: Payment processing (credit card details are handled directly by Stripe and never stored on our servers).
5. Data Retention & Deletion
Telemetry and route logs are retained only as long as necessary to provide pattern detection services. Parents may request account deletion and complete purge of telemetry records by contacting support.
